The Dahl Memorial Clinic is presenting a two-day training on mental health first aid. This 8-hour course teaches participants how to give first aid to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis situation and/or who are in the early stages of a mental health disorder. Mental health problems covered include depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar, and substance use disorders. Crisis situations covered in the training include suicidal behaviors, panic attacks, acute psychotic behavior, and drug overdose.
When: Saturday, November 7th from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm and Sunday, November 8th from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm (You need to attend both days for the certification)
